Chandabhoy & Jassoobhoy ('C&J'), is amongst the earliest firms of accountants and was established
in India in 1908 at a time when the profession of auditing was in its infancy in the country. C&J has
been in continuous existence since then. Among C&J’s earliest clients were textile mills and large
charitable institutions some of which even today continue to be clients of C&J. Since then audit has
become compulsory for corporate entities, taxation is all pervasive, consultancy a growing phenomenon and
technology an essential tool and aid to management. In all these areas, C&J, which had quiet beginnings,
has kept pace with the present trends of a modern professional practice. Today, the practice has been
developed to a stage where C&J is a one stop shop – a destination that serves all the business and

 SAMIR CHINOY, 61
Core Competence :
Audit and Assurance
Is the Joint Managing Partner and heads the audit division of the firm. He has experience of over 36
years in various areas of professional practice including audit and handling accounting of small and
medium enterprises. Mr. Chinoy has extensive experience in internal and statutory audit of banks
including the Reserve Bank of India and has also conducted audits of insurance companies, public
sector undertakings, asset management companies, housing finance companies SEBI inspection audits and
schemes of mutual funds.
Mr. Chinoy has conducted due diligence reviews of specified schemes of UTI Mutual Fund. He is also
nominated as a member of External Advisory Committee constituted by Reserve Bank of India for
evaluating applications received for grant of registration to Asset Reconstruction Company. He is also
a member of Internal Advisory Committee constituted by Asset Reconstruction Company for approving
their One Time settlement proposals. Mr. Chinoy is also a qualified Information Systems Auditor
(DISA).

Is the Joint Managing Partner and has experience of over 29 years in various areas of professional
practice. Heads the Management Advisory practice of the Firm which offers consultancy on various
business and commercial matters, including valuations and business acquisitions, due diligence
reviews, foreign investments into and out of India including entry strategies, corporate finance and
capital issues, joint ventures and overall business strategies. Mr. Hansraj's expertise and experience
also includes extensive experience in matters relating to domestic and international tax including
corporate tax planning and transfer pricing.

Has experience of over 26 years in various areas of professional practice including statutory audits
of listed public and private limited companies in sectors such as service industry, financial sector,
IT, shipping and manufacturing. Mr. Nagda has extensive experience in statutory audits of schemes of
mutual funds. Mr. Nagda has undertaken various due diligence assignments including the due diligence
of UTI Mutual Fund and investment inspection of insurance companies on behalf of IRDA.
